Piers Taylor is an independent developer specialising in implementing business logic such as booking and ecommerce systems  for use on a company's intranet or the internet.

Work is normally undertaken as a Project, or series of Projects. These commence with a requirements gathering meeting that leads to a Project Proposal.

The Project Proposal typically includes the following:

Overview 
A general summary of the Project, its key functions and benefits.

Design 
Visual elements of the Project and how they relate to its functionality.

Functional Specification
A detailed description of how the system will operate, broken down into sections.

Database Schematics
Details of information to be stored, its purpose and how it relates to the different functions of the system.

Deliverables
An explanation what the delivered Project will consist of and how it will be delivered to the customer, including delivery media and User Acceptance Testing.

Project Plan
A break down of the proposed Project's development, split into separate functional areas with costings and an indication of the total Project cost.

The Project Proposal is supplied with an appropriate timescale for delivery.
